Share your work and passion for science in the 2nd EURAXESS Science Slam!
Submit a short creative video of your research for a chance to win a trip to Europe!
A science slam is a scientific talk where researchers compete to present their work in front of a non-expert audience. The slam is a way to show the engaging and fascinating side of research to the wider public.
The EURAXESS Science Slam 2014 will take place on 6th November 2014 in Beijing. Five researchers will compete for the main prize; the audience will decide who the best is. The winner will go to Europe for a science communication training and field visits.
Do you want to have a chance to win? Visit scienceslamchina.splashthat.com and enter the competition. All you need to do is to find a creative way of presenting your research to the public, and send us a short video of it by 20th October 2014.
Researchers currently based in China of all nationalities and all research fields (including social sciences) can join. There are no age restrictions and the only academic requirement is that you need to hold a PhD or be currently enrolled in a PhD programme.

How to take part?
· Sign up on scienceslamchina.splashthat.com
· Make a 6-minutes max. video of yourself presenting your research in a creative, original way. Make sure your presentation is in English.
· Share it with us. You can post it to our YouKu account or anywhere online and give us the link.
The deadline for sending the video is 20th October 2014.
A scientific jury is going to choose the best five video entries. EURAXESS will invite their authors to compete in Beijing on 6th November 2014. The winner will be decided by the audience in an evening of science and fun.
